CMWC Kingston

 

The Kingston chapter of the Canadian Military Wives Choirs was founded in 2017. We are a 3-part women’s choir consisting of Alto, Soprano 2, and Soprano 1 voices.

Practices are held at CFB Kingston’s Trinity Chapel / Spiritual Fitness Centre, 33 Lundy’s Lane, where you will find us practicing most Tuesday evenings at 7-8:30pm, with occasional Sunday practices from 1-3pm.

 

Musical Director Amanda O’Handley

Amanda O'Handley, MTA, MT-BC, NMT graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy in 2014, and is a certified music therapist (MTA) with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists. She has studied classical piano for over 20 years, and has taught music lessons in community schools, music studios, and as part of her own private practice. Since being posted to Kingston, she is honoured to work as Musical Director for the Canadian Military Wives Choir and performs throughout the city as an accompanist and as part of a vocal jazz ensemble.

Fort Henry Height Ice Show 2018,

Highway of Hero’s Hockey game 2019,

Tim Horton’s Brier 2020,

Various CFB Kingston activities such as KMFRC, Fall Fair, Family Fun Fest, Joint Chapel Spring and Advent Service, and Remembrance Day occasions (supporting our local Legions).
